Smart Solar Chameleon Solar Globe lightReviews~ I thought this would be a special addition to the close to 400 solar lights I have on my street (which is really a Circle) but this chameleon globe is JUNK!!! If I could have rated it minus stars I would as it is not even worth 1 star For the $30. I could have ordered at Harbor Freight Tools and purchased 2 boxes of their sets of 3 solar lights per box (Butterfly, Hummingbird, & Dragonfly) and still had money left over. Sly ~ Great solar globe. Suggest placement in an area with full sun all day. The longer in the sun, the more charge to the battery thus light is on longer at dark. Guess to most folks this just makes sense. This is my second purchase of this type, i live in an area werer we stay outside much of the year for many hours into the evening, the ball is beautiful and the colors are rich and constantly eye catching until the ball stops charging, which was about after 2 wks. the other smaller solar ball I ordered was from another company, i called and it was replaced imedietly, after this one quit, i gave up! I checked locations, batteries, water leakage, all the normal issues with no remedies. oh well. I had a previous globe that was broken during a hail storm. I searched for one like it, and all I could find were 6" globes, when the broken one was 10". I bought this one, because the picture was different from all the rest, and I thought it might be a 10" globe. It was not. It was exactly like all the rest. The seal is underwater. After a week it leaked and ruined the electronics. It was snugly closed and should not have leaked. I don't think the sealing surfaces are smooth enough. Average Rating:  |
